According to the BBC, the UK is now going to tax rain in what has become known as the "Rain Tax" - no really. Not clear on all the details, but the amount a person will be taxed for rain is dependant at least in part on how big a roof they have - the bigger the roof the more the run off, or so I am told, and the bigger the rain tax on that person - or organization.
Not to worry, it's doubtful that our politicians will ever learn that rain can be taxed. I mean they don't read the bills they vote on, like the Cap & Trade bill. , so why would they read the news?
